Award-winning Designers

The American Gem Trade Association (AGTA), a major professional organization in the jewelry industry focusing on color gemstones, sponsors a design competition every year.  These competitions encompass a variety of categories:  bridal wear, evening wear, men's wear, stone cutting, classic gems, etc.  This is a worldwide competition, with entries from extraordinarily talented jewelry designers, and how AGTA picks "the" winners in each category is mind-boggling.  These items are always cutting edge pieces!  Each year we get to view the winners' pieces at the AGTA show in Tucson.   For more information go to:

We are pleased to be able to offer jewelry from a variety of active fine jewelry designers, who are all AGTA award winners themselves.  Most of their work consists of one-of-a-kind pieces. The first is Paula Crevoshay with her distinctive floral swirls and extra, extra fine and rare gemstones, which she will often cut herself.  Mark Schneider is a third generation jeweler, both designing original contemporary jewelry. Jeffrey Bilgore specializes in finding exceptional gemstones from around the world and incorporating them in to very classic, traditional styles.

Jeffrey Bilgore

Here are two stunning pieces by Jeff.  The first is a pair of natural yellow and diamond earrings (posts).  The natural yellow diamonds, 1.38 carats total weight, are separated by a white diamond, 0.22 carats total weight, mounted in 18K yellow gold and platinum.  Hinged for movement.  The second is a 4.02 carat oval cut pink sapphire surrounded by 0.22 carats of diamonds mounted in platinum.

Paula Crevoshay

Pictured below are two pieces designed by Paula.  The first is a pair of perfectly matched Peruvian blue opals accented with blue zircon and water opal, mounted in 18K Yellow Gold.  The second is a moonstone and zircon ring, both blue and colorless zircons.  Zircon actually has a good sparkle factor to it, making the colorless stone an excellent alternative for diamonds.  Notice the lovely detail work in both the earrings and the ring.

Mark Schneider

Two stunning pieces by Mark.  A beautiful gold gemstone bracelet and an amazing amethyst ring.

AGTA Award Winning 18KYG Gemstone Bracelet.  This lovely bracelet is simply fluid ... combining geometrics with various cuts of peridot, amethyst, citrine, topaz, and garnet.  Such fluidity is typical of Mark Schneider's talents.  Length: 7".  Toggle clasp.

18KYG Amethyst & Diamond Ring.  This ring centers a 1.62 carat trillion cut deep, pinkish-purple amethyst.  The stone is mounted in an asymmetric design, with 0.06 carats of pave diamonds channel set along one side.

Price: $2,850

The Fairy Vine Necklace.  This interesting necklace is made out of several different materials.  The vines are sterling silver that has been color enhanced.  The "pods" are also made of sterling silver and contain pearls.  The pods are outlined in diamonds and in tsavorite garnet (green).  The fairies are made of 18K yellow gold.  Quite the piece!
